Deprecation of Old Ad Types in Power Editor

We’ve been talking about deprecating old ad types with objective none for a while. Please note that as of April 22 , 2014, we will be removing the ability to select or edit old ad types with objective none in Power Editor.

Any existing ads using old ad types with objective none will continue to be supported through the API. Ad creation with the objective none will continue to be supported via the API as well. However, advertisers will be unable to edit those ads within Power Editor. They will only be able to view, pause and stop these ads.

We recommend that you use Facebook objectives moving forward to create your ads or inform clients of their need to make edits within your platform moving forward for any ads running without an objective.
