Instagram is open for business

We’re excited to announce today that ads launched in all advertisers globally from any market and of any size can run campaigns on Instagram. You’ll find documentation for the Instagram API on how to set up your account, get access, and start a campaign. Over the past few months, we’ve been working to make ads on Instagram available to more types of businesses.

Partners of all sizes have been testing new full-funnel solutions this summer with real business outcomes for advertiser across many verticals, and we’re seeing significant demand, particularly in areas like e-commerce, travel, entertainment and retail. From our Alpha and Beta, some of our Partners saw great success:

  • CitizenNet worked with movie studios trying new channels to reach consumers in an effort to dominate the ‘mind space’ of consumers thinking. Knowing Instagram is popular with young consumers, that often missed traditional TV campaigns, CitizenNet recommended Instagram’s visual environment an saw 30% lower CPM and 32% higher CTR. This resulted in driving a 14x increase in volume of site traffic.
  • Ampush collaborated with mobile gaming companies and using their AMP platform, they were able to boost conversion rates by 25% during the campaign and reduce the CPA by 52%.
  • Kenshoo saw impressive results in mobile as well. Driving high installs, clicks, and engagement they were able to get 18,000+ incremental mobile app installs and see 17% higher CTR.
