Reach and Frequency Buying Enhancements

This news article may be outdated. Visit Meta Business Partners to get the latest partner information.

We are excited to begin rolling out enhancements that will make reach and frequency buying more widely available to a larger, more diverse set of advertisers in regions around the world, and more useful for current advertisers using reach and frequency.

  1. Lower audience minimums in select countries (300K audience/200K reach)
  2. The ability to book 1 and 2 day campaigns (previous minimum was 3 days)
  3. The ability to set frequency cap intervals within a campaign
  4. Faster reach prediction times

== KEY POINTS ==

  1. Lower audience and reach minimums will allow advertisers targeting smaller countries to use reach and frequency where they previously were unable to. We are lowering the minimum audience from 1M people to 300K people and minimum reach to 200K people. This means that if you select a target audience with 300K people, the minimum number of people we require you to reach within that audience is 200K.

These minimums will eventually be available in all countries EXCEPT these large countries:

(EMEA) United Kingdom France Germany Italy Turkey Egypt

(APAC) India Indonesia Philippines Thailand Vietnam

(LATAM) Argentina Brazil Mexico

(NA) United States

  1. The ability to book 1 and 2 day campaigns provides advertisers the flexibility to run blast media with reach and frequency. This is an important tool for advertisers that want to tell their story in a scaled way during key dates or tentpole events and reach and frequency buying provides them with the most flexibility to do so on Facebook.
  2. The ability to set frequency cap intervals allows advertisers to control the number of ads a person sees over a set period of time within a reach and frequency campaign. This provides advertisers more control over when people see their ads in a given campaign and is especially useful for time-sensitive campaigns. For example, an advertising running a 28-day campaign can set a frequency cap interval of 2 impressions (per person) per 7 days, which paces ad delivery out more evenly over the course of the campaign.
  3. Faster prediction times will improve the user experience significantly for planners and buyers.

== AVAILABILITY ==

These enhancements will be available on a rolling basis over the coming weeks. We are rolling these out region by region in the following order: EMEA, APAC, LATAM, NA. We plan to launch to regions in 2 week increments, starting with EMEA. This rollout process allows us to first gauge performance in smaller countries where these enhancements are in higher demand.

==NEXT STEPS==

  1. Please update your interfaces to support reach and frequency buying using the enhanced audience and reach thresholds. Note that the only updates to the API with these enhancements are for the interval frequency cap. Please review the documentation below for details on this change.
  2. Stay tuned to partner news for the latest announcements related to the rollout.
